The glaze is a two-layer masterpiece: a deep satin black base, fired first to create a rich, velvety foundation. Over it, a fiery Sonnenfeuer yellow — a volcanic, flame-like glaze — is applied by hand and fired again. In the kiln, the two glazes interact, bleed, and bloom, creating the unmistakable pattern of a passion fruit skin: dark and luminous at once, with tongues of yellow fire breaking through the black.
